I visited my childhood home last week in Lafayette, California.  My mother, Mutti, brought out her pastel portraits...done years ago.  We had a good time looking through all of them; most were unframed and rolled up!

Our discussion comparing techniques was helpful and energizing for me.

Look at that loving gaze as Mutti sees the portrait she did of my youngest sister.

So sweet, and so Mutti!

Very nice. Thank you for sharing. Does she still paint? What an amazing interest to share with her.
